This is a 3 month (91 day) program for kids between the ages of 5 and 18 and focuses on preventing and correcting childhood obesity to promote adequate and optimal child growth and development.  Using safe and effective methods, this program focuses on simple, core movements with specific attention towards strength and mobility that stimulate growth and encourage functional athleticism, all of which contribute to sustainable healthy habits. This program is supplemented with scientifically proven techniques to boost happiness and overall wellbeing, contributing to the success, sustainability, and effectiveness of healthy development. 

There is one truth to weight loss - you must consume less energy than you spend (burn). However, there is a lot of confusing, misleading and wrong information available to everyone now regarding how to optimally lose weight. Real, sustainable and effective weight loss requires time and commitment. When we lose weight, we unfortunately do not only lose the bad stuff (fat), we also inevitably lose muscle mass - the engine of our metabolism. Our bodies are programmed to respond to weight loss by reducing our metabolism in hopes of saving energy we may otherwise need in the event of prolonged starvation. This is called adaptive thermogenesis - and we want to stop that from happening. We do this by meticulously calibrating the amount of calories necessary for weight management and augment the process by including exercises that will specifically aid in building and maintaining lean muscle mass and reduce fat deposition. With the abundance of processed (and appealing) foods available today and the lack of activity, children today are at increased risk for developing obesity, which may lead to health complications later in life.

Exercise

Our program uses cardiovascular, strength, metabolic and mobility training to promote fat loss and build and preserve lean muscle mass. We use a periodization model to optimize progression and recovery

Nutrition

We use a straightforward approach to eating healthy. Quality and quantity hold equal importance in this program. Our program requires clients to follow the calorie requirement each day with whole, non-processed foods that guarantee weight loss. 

Psychology

Building healthy habits and weight loss requires the right mindset. Our happiness coach provides clients with the right tools to fortify their minds and hearts to become motivated and resilient while pursuing their weight loss goals.
