This is a 3 month (91 day) program Our Healthy Life program is designed for older adults and focuses on preventing muscle wasting (sarcopenia) and bone loss (osteopenia), both of which contribute to frailty and reduced functionality later in life.  This program is centered around preserving muscle and promoting increased muscle mass and overall functionality in life.  This is achieved through strategic nutrition and safe, effective strength training.  This program is supplemented with scientifically proven techniques to boost happiness and overall wellbeing, contributing to the success, sustainability, and effectiveness of the Healthy Life program. 

Unlike our flagship program, happy brain - healthy body, the healthy life program focuses on regaining functionality. As we age, our muscle and bone health begin to decline, making movement more difficult and leading to increased health risks. Our program focuses on combating this degeneration process by promoting increased bone mineral density and lean muscle mass. This is accomplished with increased dietary protein intake and safe, methodical exercises that focus on strength, mobility and balance training. 

Exercise

Our program uses cardiovascular, strength, metabolic and mobility training to promote fat loss and build and preserve lean muscle mass. We use a periodization model to optimize progression and recovery

Nutrition

We use a straightforward approach to eating healthy. Quality and quantity hold equal importance in this program. Our program requires clients to follow the calorie requirement each day with whole, non-processed foods that guarantee weight loss. 

Psychology

Building healthy habits later in life requires the right mindset. Our happiness coach provides clients with the right tools to fortify their minds and hearts to become motivated and resilient while pursuing their health goals. We throw in a few extra opportunities to smile along the way.
